Joy Delaney-Capponi, Artistic Director

Currently in its 24th year representing Philadelphia and the surrounding suburban area, PDT’s mission is to enrich and inspire lives through dance by providing the highest level of artistic and technical training. Under the leadership of founder Joy Delaney-Capponi the company engages audiences with inspiring performances. PDT’s season includes A Philadelphia Nutcracker presented by Montgomery County Cultural Center Lively Arts, and Breaking Ground, a mixed repertory concert presented each spring to highlight original works of guest choreographers, which are created for the unique talents of the PDT dancers. Additionally, each spring a children’s ballet is presented to engage young audiences to experience the excitement of concert dance. PDT alumni have gone on to study with internationally recognized schools and perform professionally with Boston Ballet, Austin Ballet, Vim/Vigor, Arizona Ballet, Tulsa Ballet, Miami City Ballet, Pilobolus, Sarasota Ballet, Charlotte Ballet, Kim Robards Dance Colorado, West Side Story (Broadway), and Texas Ballet Theater. We instill values of integrity, excellence, inclusiveness, and dedication in every aspect of training. PDT proudly provides a variety of outreach programs that includes sensory friendly performances, community scholarships, and a Boy’s Tuition Free Program. PDT is proud to have been a member of Regional Dance America for 18 years.
